Overview

America Blooms takes care in preparing and delivering floral orders so they arrive in appropriate condition and presentation. This policy explains how damaged, missing, delayed, undeliverable, substituted, or otherwise disputed orders are reviewed, and outlines situations where refunds, replacements, credits, or other resolutions may not be available.

America Blooms offers fresh floral products and optional extras where offered. Because flowers are seasonal, perishable, and prepared for a specific recipient and delivery date, eligibility for a refund, replacement, credit, or other resolution depends on the order condition, delivery outcome, product type, timing, and supporting documentation.

Damaged or Missing Items

If an order arrives damaged, defective, or missing items, the issue should be reported by the purchaser or recipient as soon as possible.

  • Fresh flowers and other perishable items: within 24 hours of delivery
  • Optional non-perishable extras where offered: within 5 days of delivery

Clear photos of the damaged item, the full arrangement, and any relevant packaging may be required so customer service can properly assess the issue.

Once the required information is received, customer service will review the claim. Where appropriate, America Blooms may offer a replacement, store credit, refund, partial refund, or other resolution based on the order condition, delivery outcome, product type, timing, and supporting documentation.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds, replacements, credits, or other resolutions may not be available in the following situations:

  • Fresh flowers or perishable items affected by delivery delays caused by incorrect information, recipient unavailability, failed access, or circumstances outside our control
  • Change of mind after an order has been placed
  • Personal taste or preference regarding flower varieties, colors, design interpretation, or presentation
  • Substitutions made in accordance with our substitution standards
  • Undeliverable orders due to incorrect or incomplete address information, recipient unavailability, refused delivery, restricted access, business closures, or building access limitations
  • Orders marked as delivered where delivery confirmation or proof of delivery has been obtained
  • Delays or delivery issues caused by weather, traffic, courier disruptions, building security procedures, public emergencies, local fulfillment limitations, or other circumstances beyond our control
  • Requests made without sufficient supporting information or outside the applicable reporting timeframe

Substitutions made in accordance with our substitution standards are not considered defects when the overall design intent, value, size, color harmony, and presentation of the floral product are maintained.

Substitutions

Flowers are seasonal and perishable. Specific stems, colors, containers, packaging, or optional extras may be unavailable or unsuitable at the time of preparation.

When substitutions are necessary, America Blooms or its fulfillment partners may substitute flowers, containers, packaging, or optional extras using professional judgment. Substitutions are intended to maintain the overall design intent, value, size, color harmony, and presentation of the selected product.

Substitutions do not automatically qualify an order for a refund, replacement, credit, or other resolution.

Returns

Orders are prepared specifically for each purchaser, recipient, delivery location, and delivery date. As a result:

  • Fresh flowers and other perishable items cannot be returned
  • Opened, used, handled, or partially consumed optional extras cannot be returned
  • Refused deliveries are treated as undeliverable orders and may not be eligible for refunds
  • Personalized greeting messages and order-specific preparation cannot be returned
  • Seasonal or limited-availability products may not be eligible for return, refund, or replacement once preparation has begun

Re-Delivery

If an order cannot be delivered due to purchaser or recipient circumstances, re-delivery may be offered at the purchaser’s expense where available.

  • Re-delivery fees may depend on the destination, timing, product condition, delivery method, and local availability
  • Fresh flowers may require remaking or replacement if they cannot be reused or re-delivered in suitable condition
  • Additional product or preparation costs may apply when a floral order must be remade
  • Re-delivery is not guaranteed and depends on product condition, recipient availability, local fulfillment capacity, and delivery availability

Office, Building, and Managed Property Deliveries

For offices, institutions, apartments, hotels, condominiums, gated communities, hospitals, campuses, and managed properties, delivery may be completed at a reception desk, mailroom, concierge, security desk, front desk, loading area, delivery room, or other location accepted by the building or delivery provider.

Once an order is accepted by a building representative, front desk, mailroom, concierge, security desk, or similar receiving point, the order may be considered delivered.

Restricted Products

America Blooms is a florist website. This website is not intended to sell alcohol or regulated products unless such products are expressly displayed and made available in accordance with applicable law.

If any restricted product is ever offered, availability may depend on recipient location, product availability, delivery rules, and applicable laws. Additional verification, recipient requirements, or delivery restrictions may apply.

Cancellations and Order Changes

Orders begin processing after payment is submitted. Customers should contact customer service promptly after placing an order if an address correction, recipient update, greeting message correction, cancellation, or other change is needed.

  • Changes cannot be guaranteed once preparation, fulfillment, floral design, or delivery coordination has begun
  • Cancellation requests may not be available once an order has been accepted, prepared, dispatched, or attempted for delivery
  • During peak periods, holidays, or high-volume delivery dates, additional notice may be required and changes may not be available
  • Same-day delivery orders may enter preparation and delivery coordination quickly and may have limited change or cancellation availability

Same-Day Delivery Issues

Same-day delivery is available in Los Angeles, New York City, and parts of New Jersey where offered and where local fulfillment and delivery availability support it.

Same-day delivery availability does not guarantee a specific delivery time unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by America Blooms. Delivery timing may be affected by recipient availability, local florist capacity, courier availability, traffic, weather, building access, and other circumstances outside our control.

U.S.-Wide Delivery Issues

America Blooms provides flower delivery within the United States. Delivery dates, delivery windows, delivery times, and transit times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise in writing by America Blooms.

America Blooms is not responsible for refunds, replacements, credits, or other resolutions related to delivery issues caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery details, recipient unavailability, refusal of delivery, restricted access, building policies, courier delays, weather, traffic, public emergencies, or other circumstances outside our control.

Events Beyond Our Control

America Blooms is not responsible for refunds, replacements, credits, delays, failed delivery attempts, non-delivery, or service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

These circumstances may include weather, natural events, traffic disruptions, courier or delivery partner issues, public emergencies, labor disruptions, technology outages, payment processor issues, supply limitations, local fulfillment disruptions, incorrect information, recipient unavailability, or restricted delivery access.
